Wax Bayou Hunting Club was created in the summer of 2008 by Josh Fogarty (President / Owner). Josh and his team wanted to provide an enjoyable and exciting hunting experience for anyone who came our way. Whether you are brand new to the sport or have been hunting for 50+ years, we are confident that we can provide new and different hunting experiences.
Wax Bayou is located in the heart of the Atchfalaya Delta in southern Louisiana, because of our location we can offer different types of hunting for an array of wildlife. We do not believe in high fences or any type of unnatural elements. Everything on our property is the representation of hard work and game population management.
There are certain individuals and organizations in this sport that believe that hunting should be kept a secret, that it should be kept only for the people already involved. At Wax Bayou Hunting Club, we are trying to change that mentality. We want to introduce and teach people the joys, challenges and skills of hunting. We feel that the greatest joy of hunting is being able to share it with others, especially those who have never had the opportunity.
The sport of hunting is multi-faceted. Hunting can be a very challenging sport that takes just a minute to learn but a lifetime to master. To some, hunting is about the kill, firing a gun and taking another animal from nature (man vs. beast). To others, it is simply a get away from the real world or time to spend with "the guys" out in the wild. At Wax Bayou we try to offer all these different parts of the hunting experience.
We design hunts to custom fit our hunters.
